I finally bought seeds for the new bird house my father gave me for Christmas. He picked it out and stained it. I bought some sunflower seeds, and put it up near the garage so as not to be too close to our gardens or the house. The house has actually been up for a week or two, but I finally got around to sharing the photos.
While I think the squirrels like it more than the birds, I have seen the birds eating from the seeds on the ground. Here are some pictures of the house and the birds:
